Oncept Dose 2: A Celestial Achievement!
Mission Commander Buster has successfully completed another critical waypoint in his journey through the stars! Yesterday, he received his second dose of Oncept immunotherapy, bringing him to the halfway point of his initial treatment series. We are overjoyed to report that the mission continues to proceed with unwavering light and courage.
Buster, ever the brave astronaut, handled his trip in the "Recovery Shuttle" like a seasoned pro. Accompanied by his favorite toy and with the soothing purrs of his YouTube co-pilot filling the air, Buster had a calm journey to and from the oncology clinic. His post-appointment snack was, of course, devoured with the enthusiasm of a cat who had just completed a vital mission! Upon returning to base, he was greeted by his dedicated Flight Crew – First Mate Melody Malone, Captain Binx, and Junior Officer Julius – who welcomed him home with high tails and head bumps, ensuring Mission Commander Buster felt the love.
His oncologist was incredibly pleased with his recovery from the amputation, noting the excellent healing progress. The pre-dose examination yielded a positive report, confirming Buster's readiness for Oncept Dose 2. This successful administration means we are now 50% through the initial Oncept series, a truly monumental milestone in his fight against feline non-ocular melanocytic tumors.
Charting Our Course to Dose 3: The Next Waypoint
With Dose 2 now successfully administered, our focus immediately shifts to Oncept Mission: Dose 3, scheduled for June 15th. We are incredibly grateful that 22% of the Dose 2 invoice was covered by your generous contributions, and the full invoice has been uploaded to our transparency page. Now, we are launching our fundraising efforts for Dose 3, with $0 raised so far towards this next critical waypoint.
To fully fund Dose 3, we need to raise approximately $1220. This means we need approximately 244 more $5 "Twinkles" to light the way to our next waypoint.
