Another Major Milestone: Stitches are Out!

We are celebrating another major milestone this weekend! On Friday, our brave Buster Boy had his post-op appointment and received the all-clear to get his stitches removed. His vet at Chesterfield Animal Hospital said his incision site had healed well with no signs of infection or inflammation!

Seeing his incision fully healed is a breath of fresh air, and Buster has been navigating around as a member of the Tri-Kitty Club like he’s been doing it his whole life. We set him up a “staircase” next to the bed so he can safely get up and down off his favorite spot, and it didn’t take him too long to get comfortable going up on his own. His instinct and confidence also have him hopping off the bed with ease! We can officially count Buster’s recovery as a success!

What’s Next: While Buster’s recovery from amputation is complete, his journey through cancer treatment is still very much in motion. This coming Wednesday (6/3), Buster is scheduled to have his second dose of Oncept immunotherapy. Out community was incredible in helping secure his first dose, but as we look toward Wednesday, our fund has hit a quiet patch. We’ve only raised $180 toward his next $1,218.56 treatment line.

We have a few more days to pull our stars together ensuring Buster’s schedule stays right on track. Every small bit of starlight counts as we prepare for Wednesday. Please consider supporting his treatment by sharing and donating today!

With purrs and starlight,

Erin, Jacob, Buster, Binx, Melody Malone, and Julius
