Mission Log: Dose 3 Complete & Preparing for the Final Waypoint! 🚀✨
Mission Commander Buster continues to defy gravity! We are thrilled to report that he has successfully completed his third dose of Oncept immunotherapy. With each waypoint, Buster proves just how resilient and determined he truly is.
After each treatment, Buster takes a few days to rest in his "Recovery Shuttle," catching up on some much-needed sleep. But true to his "Unwavering Light" spirit, he bounces back with even more strength than before. He has officially mastered the custom "stairs" we built for him alongside the bed, and he’s now a regular on the couch. But his most impressive feat yet? He somehow made it all the way up into the cat tower! We still aren't entirely sure how he managed that zero-gravity maneuver on three legs, but it’s a testament to his incredible will to keep exploring his galaxy.
The Final Waypoint: June 29th
With Dose 3 behind us, we are now charting the course for the final dose in this initial series, scheduled for June 29th. This appointment is a critical one, and it will begin early in the morning with comprehensive testing to ensure Buster's galaxy remains clear of any spread.
The medical team will perform chest radiography and an ultrasound to carefully check his lymph nodes and major organs. If all the scans come back clear—and we are holding onto every star in the sky that they do—he will receive his 4th and final Oncept dose of this series.
Funding the Final Push
Because of the extensive testing required to ensure Buster is still cancer-free, this final appointment is the most financially significant of the series. The testing alone is estimated to add $1,215 to the visit. If he is cleared for the final dose, the total invoice for the day will be around $2,435.
This brings the total cost for his life-saving treatment with VCA Oncology to between $6,165 and $6,781.
